Service as Mayor
Mayor Finnegan is very proud to be born and raised in Hometown. Both of his parents spent time working for the Hometown Police Department many years ago. His Mother, Carole, was a dispatcher and his father, Francis, was a patrolman. He grew up on Main St. and attended Hometown Elementary and was part of the last 8th grade graduating class in 1985. He participated in CCD at Our Lady of Loretto parish. Frank graduated from Oak Lawn High School in 1989 and went into the trades that same summer. He married a fellow life long Hometown resident, Maureen Doody, and they have two children together, and are currently in college. Their children went to Hometown Elementary and graduated from OLHMS. The oldest, Jack, attended Brother Rice High School and is currently a junior student-athlete playing soccer at UW-Madison. Isabella, attended Mother McAuley High School and is a Freshman student-athlete playing basketball at Indiana State University
Professional History
His full time job is a Union Carpenter/Superintendent for a commercial window and door company. He has served as an Alderman in Hometown for 8 years and was also on the Park Board for 4 years. He served in the USMC-Reserves as a mortar man for 6 years.
Community Involvement
Mayor Finnegan was very involved in Hometown Pony Baseball League in Hometown, he was on the board for 11 years, 4 years as the President. Both of his children participated in the program as well.
