Dan Walsh

City Council
Title: Alderman Ward Four
Phone: 708-296-4619

My name is Daniel Walsh and I am one of the 4th Ward Alderman in Hometown. I was first elected to the office in 2001 and am currently serving my 4th term. Previous to that I served as a Park Commissioner for 3 years and was a Firefighter EMT for 5 years. I volunteer at various city run events including Breakfast with Santa, Breakfast with the Easter Bunny, Hometown Days and the 60th Anniversary celebrations. Last Christmas I started a “Fill the Red Wagon” drive in conjunction with the VFW and Our Lady of Loretto. With their help and the generous donations from residents, we were able to contribute over a truckload of toys that were distributed to needy children in Hometown. My wife Sue and I have lived and been raising our family in Hometown for over 22 years. Our daughter Jessica recently graduated from Oak Lawn Community High School and will be attending college in the fall. We are also very proud that Jessica was recently appointed as a Hometown Park Commissioner. Our son Stephen is a Junior at OLCHS with his main focus on their art program. One of the things I like best about being an Alderman is meeting and talking to the residents. If you would like to contact me, I can be reached by phone at 708-296-4619, or by email at Htald4@sbcglobal.net
